Painted in Mississauga, Ontario Canada shortly after my fathers passing during this pandemic in 2020. This painting showcases the representation of 'going to the light.' In this moment of painting poured my emotion to all the sadness and grief I was carrying upon my shoulder. The regrets, the anger, the sadness, the depression and I let go. I let him go. I allowed myself to be free of those things that carried his spirit here on earth.
Dealing with a passing of a my father has been hard. Its been a tough spot for everyone who has deal with this during the pandemic. We are all trying to get through it in the best way we can.
As I painted I felt better. I felt lightness in the air.
Expressing yourself in a way thats just 'for you' is fine. Don't ever feel you need to share more than you are able to. It's ok to not be ok.
