Scarborough Arts Council - 35th Annual Juried Exhibition - December 2020 One of a handful of selected artist to display in this online Juried exhibition Ontario Society of Artist Juried Emerging Artist Exhibition- January 2020 Joy Rising was selected as one of 41 works of art in the annual OSA Juried Emerging Artist Exhibition.
Feel It! Pop-Up Exhibits December 2019 – March 2020 Travelling pop-up collaborative art exhibit staged across cultural spaces within Mississauga featuring seven original pieces that represent the artistic expression of the 7 core human emotions. Exhibits were interactive engaging the participants in conversation about expressing emotions. This is a result from the Fusion Art grant from the Mississauga Arts Council
Joshua Creek Heritage Arts Centre, Artists of Peel Juried Art Exhibit November 2019 “I Rise” and “Grounded” digital art printed on metal was selected and featured in the three month long exhibit “Roots: Thoughts of who we are and where we came from, what drives us and what motivates us.”
City of Mississauga Art on the Screen Public Art Exhibit August 2019 ‘Summers Rain’ piece was featured and displayed on 2 large screens 15’ X 28’ at Celebration Square open space across for City of Mississauga City Hall 41st Annual Juried Show of Fine Arts-Visual Arts Mississauga at Art Gallery of Mississauga January – March 2019 “Summers Rain” was selected to be exhibited at the Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM). The AGM selected Summers Rain to be used in their promotional marketing advertising their Art Auction Sale.
Beaux Arts Gallery January 2018 – March 2018 Three of my pieces were part of a group exhibit “The New Normal” In Brampton Beaux Arts Gallery. Pieces showcased artists who have gone through a change in their life and are dealing with their ‘new normal’.

RichView Gallery: Art Therapy August – Joint Exhibit July – August 2015 Exhibited during the Pan Am games with Lisa Anita Wegner. This joint exhibit was about finding a way to transform the pain from concussion into art. Over 15 pieces of canvas and wood panel paintings displayed. Mindless Doodle Exhibit January 2015 – Ongoing Created an art gallery space in my basement of my work containing 60 pieces of art attracting visitors on the weekends looking for art in their house, as well as film producers interested in displaying my art in films. Art Square Gallery: Square Foot Project June – July 2014 Exhibited 6 pieces of painted ceramics. I spoke twice at scheduled artist talks during the exhibit about my art. Six pieces of art sold during my speech and one displayed at the Gallery. Awarded ‘First place Peoples Choice Award’

Mississauga Arts Council - Documentary Grant for “Mississauga Creates” - August 2020 An interview documentary with 4 women creatives in Mississauga and how they use art to create and help with their mental wellbeing. Screening will happening in 2021 by the Mississauga Arts Council.
The Credits Community Heritage Award - November 2019 Recognized by Heritage Mississauga for creating art that preserves, communicates, engages the community in celebration and creates a sense of place and pride in the Mississauga.
The Credits Modern Heritage Award - November 2019 Recognized by Heritage Mississauga for making a positive contribution to Mississauga by sharing her artwork and experiences from concussion. This resulted in an open conversation about mental health in the community and is shown in exhibition and artist talks in Mississauga. Daniels Corporation, Arc Condo Building Mississauga - August 2019 Three pieces “Songs of Summer” spanning over 10’ were selected by Daniels Corporation for the lobby of the new Arc Condo, This call for submission was by the Mississauga Arts Council and Angela was the only selected Mississauga Artist Mississauga Arts Council - Fusion Grant Award July 2019 Feel It! Project proposal creating unique digital images of original art combined with poetry was the successful recipient of the first ever Fusion grant intended to support art work that integrates two or more arts forms to create a multifaceted original artwork in collaboration with Susan Ksiezopolski, literary artist/poet and Anthony Barr, flute musician. Mississauga Arts Council: Marty’s Emerging Visual Artist of the year May 2017 – May 2018 Selected by a panel of judges to represent Mississauga as the “Emerging Visual Artist of the year” and was presented the award at the Mississauga Arts Award gala reception attended by the Mayor and other dignitaries
Culture days: Cineplex and Sun Life Financial Creative contest - June 2017 Submitted 2 minute documentary about my concussion and using art as a healing method. This short documentary was premiered at all 1,600 Cineplex screens across Canada for 1 week. Value $74K. I received free movies for a year.
Mercedes AMG: Ad Campaign March 2016 - Ongoing I shared my challenges of my concussion and how I use art to deal with the symptoms in a Mercedes contest. I won the campaign and am featured on all their social media pages as well as their website at Mercedes AMG, and their banner. Art Square Gallery: Peoples Choices Award April 2014

Art Gallery of Mississauga - “Mindfulness Through Art” - 2020 - Ongoing The Borders Crossing Project is funded by the City of Mississauga, Ontario Arts Council and the Trillium Health Partners. Through this projects I have also taught privately to, Newcomers Centre of Peel, Peel Multi Cultural Council, Afghan Women Organization, and a Chinese elders group which was taught in Mandarin Chinese.
Scarborough Arts Council - “Watercolour Floral Painting” - July 2020 - Ongoing Kind Krafts - Non Profit Organization in British Columbia 2020 - Ongoing I create digital content for their social media page to engage the community through arts and creativity. Previous workshops including acrylic painting and rocks and upcoming ones include floral flower with paper.
Donations
2020 Annual Art Gallery of Mississauga Benefit Auction “Microcosm of the mind” donated and raised $500 in funds for more Art programming in Mississauga. All proceeds were donated to Art gallery of Mississauga.
2019 Annual Art Gallery of Mississauga Benefit Auction. Summers Rain Raised $1200 in funds for more Art programming in Mississauga. 20% of this was donated back to Mississauga Arts Council Mississauga Arts Councils 2019 Annual Masquerade Ball “Peace Underneath” Raised $600 for art funding in Mississauga.

Fuel Your Creativity a 172 page creative book co created by Angela Chao and Susan Ksiezopolski written in 2019 debuted on Word on the Street - Canadas largest book and magazine festival in Toronto and also Indigo Erin Mills Mississauga February 2020.
