Career development grant - 2021
Angela Chao, visual artist was awarded a Career Development grant by Mississauga Arts Council for her proposal in creating a unique water-colour palette. This grant funds the education to learn how to make watercolour paint out of powder pigments and gum arabic and other additives.
Windwood Watecolour is named after the street Angela last lived on and is the location of her painted Bellbox. This palette is created specifically with the intention of sharing and showcasing Asian food and drinks. With the over abundance of watercolour palettes named, Soil, Sand, Earth, Honey, Angela wanted to create a place holder for asians-a like and showcase a unique watercolor palette named after traditional + modern food and drinks.
